On the third day of Kindergarden...

Austyn has had a loose tooth we found out since last Friday when I took her to the dentist. That same day of her dentist appt. I told her to wiggle that tooth only when she was at home so Mommy could be apart of pulling her "first" tooth out. Well, today as I drove up to pick her up from school, Austyn came running up to the window holding a little blue treasure box and a HUGE toothless smile. Oh my gosh, I could not believe it. All I could do was scream "no....no...no...!" I've been a stay at home mom since I brought this little baby home and never missed a "first" until today. Thank goodness the windows were rolled up or everybody at the school would have thought something terrible had happened. We talked about her tooth coming out and she said, "I pulled it out with the help of a friend." And it was during naptime so we know the class didn't sleep today. I think I got more upset and teary eyed today then I did on the first day of school. This is way too many "firsts" in three days for this Momma.

First Day of Kindergarden...

This day came a litte too soon for Tripp and I. We were not ready for this, but Austyn sure was. I woke her up this morning at 6:40 and she said, "What time is it?...This is way too early." I wanted to say I totally agree with you baby, but I said, "Today is your big day, Kindergardner." We got to the school, she shot out of the van and walked into the school with so much confidence. We are so blessed to have a child right now that LOVES to learn. She walked right into the classroom, sat down at her table with her name on it and the girl next to her started talking about school. It was great!!! Tripp and I tried to move as quickly out of there as possible as to not take away anything from her excitement, but I will admit it was much harder on us then it seemed to be for her. When we went to pick her up from school, Tripp and I asked her how it was and she used only one word..."AWESOME." How cool is that? Thank you, Father, for this amazing day, beautiful little girl and her first day of Kindergarden.

Austyn officially becomes a Hippo

Tonight was Austyn's "Meet the Teacher" night. It went really good. We got the transfer we wanted to the orginal school here in town where we know a lot of people. Plus, she got the kindergarden teacher that has been there the longest. She's a goodie. Everyone talks very highly of her. What a blessing!!! She even has one of my daycare boys in class with her that she has known for many years. It's a very crazy thought that we have a kindgardener now, but we are also very excited for Austyn. She LOVES learning and was all smiles the entire time we were at the school. We'll catch up with everyone on Monday to tell y'all how the first day of school went. Go Hippos!!!

Happy Birthday, Nene!

We just got back from delivering some birthday flowers to Nene. She and her family have become very dear to us since we moved here. Today she was celebrating her birthday so the girls and I decided to surprise her with a vase full of flowers. Austyn was so excited to walk it up to the door and yell out "Nene, where are you? I'm here!" We hope and pray that she had a very special day! We love you, Nene.

10 kids, old fashion tent building, sisters and an amazing young lady

So today we got creative and starting building a big tent for all of the kids. We had so much fun with all of them. My youngest is 15 months old and my oldest will be going into 3rd grade. Even though there is a huge age difference we still found a way to blend all of us together for some great laughs and memories. The young lady in the self portrait with me is Claire. She is like my neice and has been the biggest help for me this summer. Before the summer started I asked her if she would like to earn some money through helping me take care of my daycare kiddos. Claire is awesome with kids and they love her. So she has been working extremely hard this summer. I cannot thank her enough. The girls were also twins today. And they were very proud of it. We just had to share it ;-)

Finally another post

Sorry, family and friends its been so long since we last blogged. After getting back from Kansas we had a two day garage sale planned for that following weekend and on top of that I'm taking care of 10 kids right now including our two. So needless to say, we've been doing nothing but selling a lot of extra stuff, changing a lot of diapers and cooking A LOT of extra food ;-) It's all worked out but we have yet to stop moving. We are looking forward to some family time before Austyn starts school in two weeks. We still can't believe she starts kindergarden which is just the beginning of a fast moving train to college. We have been so blessed this summer with a lot of amazing memories with family and friends. God has been so good to us and continues to shine he's love on us through each of them. My prayer is for us to be able to pay it forward to those same individuals and perfect strangers.
