Our dog Sport loves Austyn even if she tries to cover him completely up or dress him up in her clothes. He handles it very well...most of the time
Austyn and Avery up at the school for another "Family Night." PJ's and pizza...now that's my kind of party.

Ice Maker Snow Day

When you live in a state that doesn't get snow, an ice maker does just fine. Today was Snow Day at Austyn's school for the Kindergartner's. It was great. It was even at 32 degrees until 9:30 when it started to warm up into the 40's. The kids had so much fun. I even got to test drive the run before the kids got out there. There wasn't enough snow for me though. I ended up sliding down into some rocks and skitting the rest of the way down. My leg isn't looking to pretty right now. But it was still fun.

Sweet moment...

I had to share this moment I just had with my baby boo about 1o minutes ago. I was taking her to the bathroom and while I was holding her up there I asked her "How much do I love you?" And she said "too much Mommy." She leaned forward and hugged me. I'm SO blessed!!! I love you, Baby boo.

Family Fun night at school

Last night we got to visit Austyn's school for Family Fun night. Their PE teacher put this together so parents could see what their kiddo did during PE. There was rope swing, jump rope, basketball, hula hoops, scooters, barrel roll and so much more. It was a ton of fun. I will admit though that it was WAY too crowded in there. Tripp and I feel so fortunate that Austyn was able to get into this school. It is the original elementary school here in town and is amazing. We don't live in their district but through the power of prayer and God's will we put in for a transfer and got it. We LOVE this school!!! Praise God. We hope Austyn can continue to grow up and attend this school.

Christmas 2008 Memories and Madness

This Christmas and New Years we decided to do a bit of traveling...ok, ALOT of traveling. To be exact almost 40 hours of road time. Crazy!!! We celebrated Christmas morning with the girls here at the house and left by noon to head towards Kansas. We arrived at the farm around 9p.m. Christmas day. Daddy got up early Friday morning to go hunting with his cousins and best friend. He got back around 9:30a.m. and we headed towards Manhattan, Kansas which was three hours from the farm. Around 1p.m. we arrived at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was SO good to be up there with everyone. We got to enjoy more time with my grandparents and aunt, uncle and their kiddos then we have in a LONG time. It was such a blessing. My parents had decided to spend that time up there with us as well which was yet another blessing. We got to see a little bit of snow, go to a K-State men's basketball game with dear friends of ours, plus see two new movies which was so nice. Tripp and I took the girls on Tuesday to visit my uncle, aunt and their kiddos in Kansas City. We had so much fun with them but wished we'd had more time together. It was way too short. The kiddos had so much fun. We went to a restrautant where your food was delievered to you on a train. Which the kiddos thought was fanstastic. Everytime one of the trains came out they would start yelling and clapping that it was our food but for the first 5 times or so it wasn't. We also went to Union Station. We left there on Wednesday morning and headed back to the farm. We celebrated the New Years with Tripp's cousins and their families. It was great! It was nice to not have to worry about what time it was and what we had to do next. All of our families spent time just hanging out and getting caught up. Tripp did some more hunting and us girls watched movies and read The Shack. Which I highly recommend to EVERYONE!!! On Saturday we traveled to Eldorado to a Butler County Women's Basketball game. Tripp's cousin is their team manager. That was a lot of fun! Thank you to all of our family back home for the wonderful memories we all shared. Now that we are back in Texas though I will admit that we are EXHAUSTED. 2008 is now behind us but not forgotten. We are so excited about what God has in store for us, our family and friends and our country.
