Celebrating with our nephew!

This weekend we took a whirlwind trip to Houston, TX to celebrate with your nephew, Dylan. He won a state school drawing contest for his age group. He also won a scholarship to attend a art academy camp this summer. We are so proud of him!!! He has been blessed with an incredible ability to draw, use color along with amazing creativity. The awards ceremony was at the Houston Live Show and Rodeo so we also got to spend some time there as well. It was great.
Avery doesn't let Woody go to far from her now a days. This cowboy got to visit the show and rodeo with us. His partner Jesse usually tags along to but I guess she got left behind this day. It's so cute!

Bubbles and Birthday Parties

Two weekends ago, we celebrated our youngest nephews 7th birthday. We went bowling with him and all of his friends. It was a great time with lots of laughs and craziness. Happy Birthday, Big Guy. You've grown up way too fast, Baby Drake ;-)
My girls and their best friends are in this picture together. The other two kiddos in this picture of brother and sister. I've watched them since they were little. The boy was 3 months old when I started watching him. It has been such a blessing to have these kiddos and watch them grow and connected with our girls. There is a very special bond between the four of them.

Avery's Surgery today

Today Avery had her ad nodes taken out and tubes put in both ears. She was doing great until we got back to the "prep" room where she then decided to go into one of her full blown fits. It started with her not wanting to put on their nightgown on yellow socks. Who would have thought it? ;-) The anesthesiologist decided to give her vaalum which then within 5 minutes or so turned her into an extra goofy Avery. Her already goofy personality took a turn on vaalm row. We all couldn't stop laughing including Avery which made Tripp and I laugh even harder. She couldn't form a sentence to save her life. The surgery went just fine, but they did find a pretty major ear infection in her right ear which made the tubes a little more difficult. Afterwards coming out of the anestheisa was pretty rough for her. She didn't want to be moved, touched, talked to unless it was me or daddy. The anesthesiologist told us later that she was one of his most toughest cases. That's our sweet baby boo or maybe I should say strong willed baby boo. All in all everything went great. We are very proud of you, Avery. And we love you.

Starting Soccer 2009

This is Austyn's 4 year to play soccer. She has really grown a love of this game. And whats been really cool is each year watching her become stronger and stronger with her kicks. We are very excited for this year of soccer because we are officially in the U6. This will be her last year to play co-ed. U7 is when she will jump to playing with just girls. Which we are SO excited about. I kind of wish it was this year but it will still be fun. Last night was her second practice and we all went together as a family. It was beautiful outside.

Avery's Celebration Dance

We got a Wii from Santa for Christmas and Avery is really enjoying bowling. She is really getting the hang of it even. But the best part is watching her dances after she gets a strike or spare. Wait for the dance at the end of this game of bowling with her Daddy. Avery must get her dance moves from her Mommy ;-)

Happy Valentine's Day or...

as my 6 year old calls it "Love Day!" We hurried around this morning before school trying to get some pictures of them together. They were troopers but turned silly by the time we got to the end. As you can tell, Austyn LOVES to pose for her pictures. She'll tell me "mommy I wasn't sitting right, I'm sure that looked goofy." Ok so maybe I've taken way too many pictures of my kids. LOL!

Our dog Sport loves Austyn even if she tries to cover him completely up or dress him up in her clothes. He handles it very well...most of the time
Austyn and Avery up at the school for another "Family Night." PJ's and pizza...now that's my kind of party.
