Kickin' Off Easter 2009

We kicked off Easter Egg Huntin' yesterday at Austyn's school. It was a lot of fun. What a blessing her school has been to us. Praise God for that!

Breaking Free Day by Day - Beth Moore

"We did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:16 Beth Moore writes - In the days before I began to enjoy the fullness of Christ, I somehow knew God's Word was true and that the problem rested with me. But for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I served Him. I even had a love for Him, however immature. But I still fought an emptiness that kept me looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places. Never once in my youth did I hear the clear teaching about the Spirit-filled life. Perhaps this is the reason I refuse to shut up about it now. Either Jesus Christ can satisfy us and meet our deepest needs, or God's Word is deceptive.

Chillin' Wednesday

Today baby girl and I got to just chill together. We started out the day with a walk in the beautiful weather. Avery had to be decked out in her hat and shades. She also had to bring her water bottle. After the walk, we came back to watch some Oswald on Noggin. We LOVE Noggin. We also had to read books at the same time. It was a great morning!!! I had a great time just chillin' like a villain with my baby girl.

Soccer Kick Off 2009

Austyn had her first soccer game yesterday evening. It was a beautiful day outside and just amazing for a great soccer game. We won and Austyn scored one of our 13 goals. She did such a great job. We are so proud of her. This is her 4th year playing soccer and she's really come a long way.

Quick Trip to San Antonio

On Monday, Tripp, I and the girls took my family down to San Antonio. My brother and his wife had never been down there before. We got to visit the Alamo and the Riverwalk but decided against doing anything else down there because it was so crazy down there that day. I had forgotten it was Spring Break and the NCAA tourney would all be going on. Opps!!! But we still had a good time. The weather was beautiful, even a little hot by the time we were leaving. I've been to the Riverwalk many times now and it still amazes me how pretty in parts it can be. And of course, there's always good food everywhere.

Celebrating with our nephew!

This weekend we took a whirlwind trip to Houston, TX to celebrate with your nephew, Dylan. He won a state school drawing contest for his age group. He also won a scholarship to attend a art academy camp this summer. We are so proud of him!!! He has been blessed with an incredible ability to draw, use color along with amazing creativity. The awards ceremony was at the Houston Live Show and Rodeo so we also got to spend some time there as well. It was great.
Avery doesn't let Woody go to far from her now a days. This cowboy got to visit the show and rodeo with us. His partner Jesse usually tags along to but I guess she got left behind this day. It's so cute!

Bubbles and Birthday Parties

Two weekends ago, we celebrated our youngest nephews 7th birthday. We went bowling with him and all of his friends. It was a great time with lots of laughs and craziness. Happy Birthday, Big Guy. You've grown up way too fast, Baby Drake ;-)
My girls and their best friends are in this picture together. The other two kiddos in this picture of brother and sister. I've watched them since they were little. The boy was 3 months old when I started watching him. It has been such a blessing to have these kiddos and watch them grow and connected with our girls. There is a very special bond between the four of them.
