I'm sorry it has been so long since I last posted. We have been on the move...literally. We moved last week into a home that we are currently trying to purchase. We won't know for a while what God is going to do but we are trusting that he knows what we need. I'll be posting more in the next day or so. Hope this finds everyone doing well.
These are just a few pictures from Austyn's 1st Annual Grand Adventure to Kansas to visit our families. She got to go for a week and never looked back once she was there. Both of our families spoiled her rotten (sorry Mema, Papa, Pamma and Mark). But it's SO true. We are still detoxing her from that trip. It was so good to see her do so well all during the grand adventure. Thank you to Mema, Papa, Pamma, Mark and Danielle and Nae Nae for showing her such an amazing time.
This weekend Tripp and I celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary with help from very dear friends of ours. We decided to stay local and go into downtown Austin for a night away. The girls got to have a super duper slumber party at their Aunt Kappy's house. They came back with all kinds of fun stories to tell us and loved every minute they got to spent with Kappy and her awesome family. A huge thank you again to them for helping us out! The dog in the pictures below is called "Dot" and they have been in love with this little girl since the day they first meet her.

Meanwhile in downtown Austin we did travel. We saw more of Austin then we have since we moved here almost 5 years ago. And boy did we walk a lot to. It was nice and a great time together. I also got to play with some pictures while we were walking around. This is one of my favs. The water picture above is the view from our table at The Oasis. It's a retrauant that is out at Lake Travis. One of our last stops was for ice cream at Amy's. I thought I posed for a nice ad for them.

During the 4th of July weekend we were crazy busy but for all good reasons. We spent a lot of time together as a family and it was great. Friday we hung out at the house and that night went to a fireworks show up at Dell Diamond. On Saturday we traveled to Tripp's sister and brother in law's house. We had a great time celebrating the 4th with them. And then on Sunday we met up with one of my best friend's from college. I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with them down at the capital building. It was so hot but we had a great time with them. It was such a blessing to get to be with them.
I know it's been a great deal of time since I posted a blog or pictures for that matter so I'm going to play catch up with y'all. Things have been pretty crazy busy around here in the last couple of weeks. Things should hopefully slow down so I can get back to posting more.
Austyn went to her best friends this last weekend and spent the night. On Saturday when we asked her to rest, read some books and listen to music this is what we found. She has fallen asleep on the floor trying to get her music going.
The same night Austyn went to her best friends, we decided we would do something special with Avery because she was pretty upset she didn't get to go with her. We took her bowling at a really fun bowling alley. After our game, we let her play in the arcades for a while which was also a great time.
Father's Day we spent going to church, taking Daddy out to eat, playing wii and lots of water fun. It was a great day celebrating the girls amazing Daddy. We are so lucky that God provided such an amazing Godly man.
Do you ever feel like you are in the midst of some sort of "training" by God? Training is only suppose to make us stronger in and through things...right? Tripp and I have been in what I've started calling "wait training." Tripp and I put on offer on a home at the end of March on a house that was a "short sale." Believe it or not, the owners bank has yet to sign off on our contract. We have heard everything from they haven't received the paperwork yet to they should be signing off on it by the end of this week. Now keep in mind that that was said about 2 1/2 months ago. We truly feel like this house is what God is wanting for our family so we've just been trusting in Him that He is working out the timing of it all. We don't understand why it's taken this long BUT what I do know is that my God is in control of the situation. Have I grown tired of waiting...ABSOLUTELY!!! I will not lie about that. And honestly, I'd love to speak with the person who came up with the term "short sale." This "short sale" has not been so short. None of the process or waiting makes any sense to me BUT I know that God laid this on our hearts and we will continue to "wait train" with our God. Now what all of you don't know is this...the house we live in now is up for lease which means that at any moment we could be asked to pack up and leave. Our lease officially ends July 1st. We've had many offers to move in with people which has been overwhelming BUT I also am taking care of 7 kiddos this summer who would be coming along for the ride with us. Making it hard for me to agree to move in with anybody. This could become our only option. This song I've posted with this post has become very dear to me through all of this. The "wait training" has been overwhelming, hard, frustration and sometimes lonely BUT I know who has it already written out where we are suppose to live and I will continue to praise him through all of this. I hope if you find yourself or your family in "wait training" that you feel the love, support, encouragement and faithfulness of our Father. May God guide you and bless you and your family.
Austyn lost her last front tooth this last week. Her and her best friend spent a lot of time together in the bathroom trying to pull it. Finally after about an hour into, Austyn came running out of the bathroom with her big ol' front tooth in her hand. It was great!!!
Some of the many faces of our little Avery K. The top picture is of her getting caught in the powered donuts and the bottom one is of her in Mema's big ol' sunglasses. Watch out Jackie O, here comes Avery K.
In love with life, my God, my hubby, and my girls. A stay at home mom and loving what I've been given from my Godly Father. I don't always get it right, but I've been provided the forgiveness, grace and mercy to move forward knowing that I will make mistakes and that's ok.
