Christmas 2009

I know I'm just a little late on posting some of our grand pics from Christmas 2009, BUT better late then NEVER :-) Our last bit of family just left yesterday morning. Family started coming the Sunday before Christmas. My parents were our first family visitors. They came and celebrated Christmas with us and left the Sunday morning after Christmas. It was great to have them here for that long as we didn't waste anytime putting them to work. While mom watched over my babies, Dad and I tackled our first paint job of our new house. I will post pictures of the new house later. I officially have painted four out of the 8 rooms we have to paint. I'm taking a break though because I'm TIRED!!! The girls had a great visit from Santa as he brought us a trampoline. They have not stopped jumping yet. Christmas Eve Austyn took part in a program at our church. It was super cute! Wednesday after Christmas we headed out to Aunt Krissi and Uncle Rody's to meet up with more family coming in from Kansas. Tripp's cousins Mark, Pamma, Nae Nae (Danae) and Danielle arrived Wednesday and his other cousins Mike, Krissi, Derek and Trent came in late New Years Eve. I was shooting a wedding that afternoon and evening so missed a good bit of that day but we had a great time with all of them as well. They left yesterday morning. While we were out at Aunt Krissi and Uncle Rody's my babies got to ride their new go cart which was so much fun for them BUT because we had had so much rain they were a muddy mess. Which Austyn enjoyed until it was time to stop and then she freaked out just a bit because mud was everywhere on her. It was kind of cute! All and all Christmas 2009 was AWESOME and such a huge BLESSING! We have LOTS to share about our new house I mentioned above but another day another time :-) I'll keep y'all in suspense I guess :-)
This is a very long story BUT Daddy fell asleep at 8:30 Christmas Eve. This is how I found him 5 minutes into me trying to wrap gifts. Mema and Papa

Rolls, Shopping, Football, the Farm, Laughs...

were a HUGE part of our Thanksgiving 2009. We changed things up this year and instead of doing Thanksgiving in Texas, we traveled back home to Kansas to the farm. We had SO much fun being with all of our family and doing a lot of the things we love to do. We even got to celebrate our oldest baby girls 7th birthday surrounded by family. What a blessing the entire trip was.
Can you find our baby girls in the ornaments in the pictures above and below?

When I called her to see if she would be willing to come to the farm (3 hours away) during Thanksgiving she didn't hesitate. Absolutely she said. Aunt Jenn brought with her my Grandma and Grandpa as well. It meant so much to us that they came down to visit.

Family pictures 2009

A while back a dear friend of mine offered to shoot our family pictures. I had done her and her husbands a month or so before that and had such an awesome time. She did an incredible job capturing our family and again we had so much fun doing it. The tractor and field fit our family to a "t"...especially my hubby. The girls were really good during the shoot which made it go by very fast. Thank you so much Linda for blessing us with these pictures.

A "Huge" Birthday and Backwards PJ's

Avery LOVEs to be very silly sometimes. This is what we found her doing one night a while back when she was suppose to be going to bed. The top part of her pj's are on her legs and vice versa. Crazy silly baby girl! We also celebrated Austyn's 7 year old birthday at the end of November. Wait...did I really just say that..."7". Say it isn't so! I cannot believe it! We had a great party and allowed both of our girls' best friends to stay over for a slumber party. We did toes, nails and movies. As you can see below in the first picture they did eventually fall fast asleep.
