5th Sunday...what a blessing!

Today was a great day! Our church home LifePointe Fellowship served our community. Today was the beginning of something we are going to call 5th Sunday. We had several activities to choose from in order to serve our community. The blood bus came to LifePointe and parked in our parking lot so anyone that wanted to could donate blood. We also picked up trash (Adopted A Highway) along several different rodes and in parks within our community. Our KidsPointe team also began their reconstruction of our K-5th Grade classroom. The last activity we had to choose from was the Texas Baptist Children's Home where we organized, fixed up their bikes, and cleaned several different areas. It was such a blessing to be a part of this. Below is one of the videos I put together when we began teasing our church body about what we were going to be able to do. It was played about 3 weeks or so ago. The child's hands picture in the video is Avery and the adult hand in the video is a self portrait of my left hand :-) Just thought y'all might want to know that. The pictures after the video are from today.
This is a dear friend of mine who took care of my baby girl while I ran around taking pictures of all the things the church body was doing. Thank you Mrs. Janet and my D-Man.This is the picture we took before we left the building this morning. I'm not in it because I'm standing on a ladder trying to take the picture.

New School Year

Our oldest baby girl started 1st grade this year. We are just blow away that we have a 1st grade but at the same time SO blessed by her. We really like her teacher Ms. Amling. So far the first few days of school have gone really well. Although Austyn is wiped out by the time she gets home. But that just means an early bedtime :-) Here are a few our the pictures we took of our 1st grader. The last picture is of our new view sitting on our back porch. Every morning this is what we wake up to and are so blessed to watch unfold. God is AWESOME!!!

Locks of Love and Baby Girl's new look

Today our oldest baby girl cut her hair for Locks of Love. The picture below is of Austyn and Bo Bo (Tripp's mom) who lost her fight with cancer a little over 6 years ago. We had spoken to Austyn about cutting her hair and why we would do it for Locks of Love. Bo Bo was one of the people we spoke to her about. She has this picture in her bedroom. My dear friend Julie came over this afternoon and cut her hair. She got 10 inches cut off. And it looks so cute. Below are just a few of the pictures I took throughout the process. She is so excited about her new do.

New Move

I'm sorry it has been so long since I last posted. We have been on the move...literally. We moved last week into a home that we are currently trying to purchase. We won't know for a while what God is going to do but we are trusting that he knows what we need. I'll be posting more in the next day or so. Hope this finds everyone doing well.

Austyn's Grand Adventure to Kansas

These are just a few pictures from Austyn's 1st Annual Grand Adventure to Kansas to visit our families. She got to go for a week and never looked back once she was there. Both of our families spoiled her rotten (sorry Mema, Papa, Pamma and Mark). But it's SO true. We are still detoxing her from that trip. It was so good to see her do so well all during the grand adventure. Thank you to Mema, Papa, Pamma, Mark and Danielle and Nae Nae for showing her such an amazing time.

Weekend Happenings

This weekend Tripp and I celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary with help from very dear friends of ours. We decided to stay local and go into downtown Austin for a night away. The girls got to have a super duper slumber party at their Aunt Kappy's house. They came back with all kinds of fun stories to tell us and loved every minute they got to spent with Kappy and her awesome family. A huge thank you again to them for helping us out! The dog in the pictures below is called "Dot" and they have been in love with this little girl since the day they first meet her.

Meanwhile in downtown Austin we did travel. We saw more of Austin then we have since we moved here almost 5 years ago. And boy did we walk a lot to. It was nice and a great time together. I also got to play with some pictures while we were walking around. This is one of my favs. The water picture above is the view from our table at The Oasis. It's a retrauant that is out at Lake Travis. One of our last stops was for ice cream at Amy's. I thought I posed for a nice ad for them. Us eating and celebrating at The Oasis

4th of July Weekend Celebration

During the 4th of July weekend we were crazy busy but for all good reasons. We spent a lot of time together as a family and it was great. Friday we hung out at the house and that night went to a fireworks show up at Dell Diamond. On Saturday we traveled to Tripp's sister and brother in law's house. We had a great time celebrating the 4th with them. And then on Sunday we met up with one of my best friend's from college. I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with them down at the capital building. It was so hot but we had a great time with them. It was such a blessing to get to be with them.
