Halloween 2009

This is me with very dear friends of mine. We decided that we were the three stages of being a mom. The morning momma (running late), the beauty queen momma (we all get to get all dressed up every once in a while) and then there's super hero momma.
This is our serious duo batgirl look!
The girls with some of their best buddies!Ok, so this is out batgirl duo picture. I know normally Batwoman would be in tall black hipster boots BUT you've got to remember who you are talking about here. SO, I decided to throw on the black Converse shoes and be the more contemporary Batwoman.Big sister wanted to be Alex from Wizards of Waverly place this year. That's her favorite show right now. I will NEVER spray paint her THICK hair ever again. I'm just stating that for the record. It was a mess getting it all out. She had lots of fun though.Towards the end batbaby decided her candy bag was way too heavy so using her batsmarts she decided to put her candy bag in the wagon and pull the wagon. She went through the neighborhood with lighting speed after this.

Baby girl turns 4

Last weekend we celebrated our baby girl turning 4. Did I REALLY just say that? I cannot believe she is 4. WOW how the time has flown by. We celebrated big time. There was almost 50 or more people at our house. It was crazy yet fun! Baby girl had a blast!
Of course the cake had to be Mikey and Minne. Her two favorites right now.
I also decided to do something different this year and have everybody sing happy birthday and then shoot off confetti poppers at the end. It was so awesome! And this was at the end of the wildly blessed day! Her and her new buddy Mikey!

Friends, Brother and Sister, or Mommy and Daddy

These two have been together since they were about 3 months old. Some days they are just friends, some days more like brother and sister BUT then there are days when they play Mommy and Daddy. There's NO denying they have a bond and buckets upon buckets of memories that will last forever. If I had been able to video some of their conversations and crazy stunts they've pulled I would be a millionaire through the TV show Funniest Home Videos. Or maybe I should just write a book about it. Most days like keep me laughing hysterically BUT the few other days of the year they have been pulling out my hair with their craziness. I cannot imagine not having them together with me all day. It's going to be a VERY sad day when they both go to Kindergarten in a year and a half. My life is going to change dramatically. Tears will be shed. I can promise you that!!! These are my babies. They don't like it when I call them that but I will never stop. They prefer their other nicknames I say about 10,000 times a day...Avery K. and Bubba. I love you both!!!
I wish I could find some of the original pictures from when they were 3 months old but here's to as far back as I could go...Summer '06. Avery still brushes his hair sometimes :-)
Nowadays we have many lunch picnics in our living room watching Noggin.
Let's all say it at once...AAAAAAHHHHHH!!! This is NOT the only time they've slept together. I caught them on several occasions when they were two trying to sleep in the same pack n play. They would wait until I got busy with naptime stuff (laundry) and one of them would sneak into the others room and hop in.
And just a few days ago, we played superheros and made masks to top it off. Aren't they the cutest???
Time to conquer the world together!!!

Firestation Benefit

On Friday evening, we got to go to a benefit for a local retired fireman who is battling cancer. Our entire Lifecare group went together and supported him and his family. It was so much fun! We had some great bbq and desserts. The girls of course LOVED the desserts...chocolate chip cupcakes :-) We LOVE our Lifecare Group! We've been in the same group for almost 5 years now and cannot imagine being anywhere else.

And so the rain brings wormies...

and LOTS of worms. We have finally been getting LOTS and LOTS of rain over the past couple of weeks. It's been great. This last week the girls decided to play in the puddles out in front of our house which turned into a worm hunt. And of my goodness did they find lots of worms. Some were extra slimy, some were muddy BUT all received some love that day from our baby girls.
Austyn was really excited about seeing her reflection in the puddles too so we captured that for her. And what a pose she did strike when I told her I would take a picture of her reflection. Way too cute!

Our Big D Trip

This last weekend, Tripp and I got to take a little mini vacation to the Big D with his cousins Danielle and Danae. We had so much fun! His cousins go to Arkansas to college so we went to the football game Arkansas vs. Texas A & M at the new Dallas stadium. It's HUGE!!! We were a bit bummed though because we only had tailgating passes and no tickets so we had to watch the game from outside the glass walls of the stadium. We've already decided that next year we will be getting tickets EARLY!!! It also rained on us the entire time but it didn't slow our fun down.
Danae, Me and Danielle
Isn't the stadium HUGE?
This is Arkansas's official mascot...he weighs around 500 lbs and is HUGE!!!

Soccer 2009

This is big sister's 5 year of soccer and we were so ready to start the new season. But what we didn't expect was for me to be coaching. It's like the ONLY sport I known NOTHING about. And I mean absolutely NOTHING. If I knew anything about soccer it was through big sister's first 4 years of soccer but it wasn't much. BUT I do have to admit that it's been a lot of fun. We haven't won a game yet but the girls are having a blast. We have a very young U9 team. Only two of the players have played before and big sister is the one that has played the most but she's the youngest player. Crazy!!! Little sister of course is enjoying shining her "spirit hands" has she calls them for her big sister. Daddy has been in charge of taking pictures for me since I'm doing the dirty work :-) I have to say that that he's not doing too bad of a job. Thank you Daddy!!! Oh yeah...and our name...are you ready for this...the Orange Popsicles. I tried to convince them to be the Orange PushUps but that didn't fly. Oh well :-) And one more really cool thing is that I'm coaching with one of my dearest friends and her daughter is big sister's best friend is playing on our team.
Trying to get our two players that have played before to work together. It didn't work...they became more competitive. Oh well...didn't hurt to try.
