It's a jungle out there folks...

A few weekends ago we adventured out to a Jungle Jim birthday party for a good friend of ours. I wasn't forsure what to expect but the girls absolutely LOVED it. I didn't care for the creatures but the friends were great company :-)
Austyn started out a little or VERY unsure of the snakes but...
Then she began to warm up just a bit. I believe this is a constrictor of sorts she is holding below.
And the size of the snake continued to grow along with her bravery :-)
Baby girl on the other hand only wanted to hold this one lizard. She said that's all she needed. I'm with baby girl. I don't like snakes either :-)

Giggles, Gifts and Girlfriends....OH MY!!!

My hubby went hunting for the weekend so us girls decided it was time to have a slumber party. What's that saying...when the boys are gone the girls will play :-) It just so happen to be one of Austyn's good friends birthdays so we made it into a slumber/birthday party. Megan was celebrating her 8th bday. We grilled hamburgers, ate lots of chips/dip and even more of our special cake...a HUGE Ice Cream Snickers Bar Cake. That's right...I didn't even know that made it but I found one and it was AWESOME!!! I will admit though that it was hard to shove birthday candles into a ice cream cake :-) Didn't think about that one :-)
Two of my best friends...you are NEVER too old to be silly...right :-)
We even rubbed off on the youngest of our party to be silly with us!
Notice the flakes of chocolate missing in off the cake. That's because I was having to predrill holes for the candles and we lost some chocolate to my work.
Megan LOVES purple so we had to get these fabulous sunglasses for her. We also got her all the fixings for pedicures so we did that as well during our slumber party.
This picture needs no words :-) LOL!!! I'll let you wonder what on earth happened. (Insert Evil Laugh)

Easter 2010

We have two completely different kiddos...in every way. It even includes music likes. Avery K enjoys Christian Rap (TobyMac for example) and Austyn Marie enjoys girl artists (Carrie Underwood for example)...so the Easter Bunny fulfilled their likes in music and brought both of these artists new cds.
Our baby girls also have a different likes in colors. Austyn Marie LOVES pink and Avery K LOVES green...hence the reason the Easter Bunny also brought peeps in the right colors. :-)

I know...

our Kansas Trip Part II took some time to get on the blog :-( But at least it's officially up here right :-) LOL!!!
One of my best friends Lori wanted to have some fun with a mommy and me photo shoot so before we met up with the rest of the clan we have a quick photo shoot.
These are some of my best friends. We all met in College our freshman year. We've been through a lot together and I can't imagine my life without each of them. We are all so different but together make something so unique and life lasting. God was so incredibly good to be to bring each of them into my life.
The next generation of Wildcats. These are all of our kiddos except one who was sleeping.
Of course I had to try and get a self portrait of all of us but it didn't work out to well :-) LOL!!!
Our version of K-S-U and a random #1 because there was four and not three of us :-)

Our Spring "Winter" Break Adventure...

We did so much during our break last week to Kansas. This is just the beginning of more pictures and stories to come. We decided to spend our break back home in Kansas in the hopes we would be able to welcome my new nephew to the world BUT he has still yet to arrive. But even though he didn't arrive while we were there, we got to enjoy so much fun time with our family and friends. Priceless...
Papa teaching baby girl a few pool playing pointers...
And this is how we roll...or jump...when we play ping pong :-)
My Aunt Jenn getting schooled by baby girl :-)
Both of our baby girls seem to like to use their tongue to guide the way...
My Uncle Gary teaching some ping pong...
After the first night in Manhattan Kansas :-)
Notice the Nike advertisement on her shoes :-)
Great Grandpa and our babies
My Dad took the girls, Grandpa and my camera to the zoo one day
We went bowling with one of my dearest friends Terri and her son Reece. Avery was just a little upset after one of her throws apparently.
Reece and I being silly :-)
My Dad and I took the girls out to the Tuttle Creek Spillway. The had the spillways open this day so it was really cool. Austyn was pretty scared at times and Avery just slept through the whole thing.
We also took the girls to the Top of the World in Manhattan. This is one direction overlooking the city. You can see KS hill in the background.
more spring "winter" break adventure pictures to come...stay tuned.
