4th of July Adventure!!!

Our 4th of July was a wild, crazy, funfilled, notstop adventure. We spent the day out at Krissi and Rody's (Tripp's sister) with their boys along with Tripp's cousins from Kansas. Our time out their started off pretty laid back just hanging out talking and watching the kids run crazy around their land. BUT just about an hour into arriving there, all of a sudden Dylan (Krissi and Rody's middle boy) came into the house with the rest of the crew with blooding running down the side of his head and down his chest. Of course, I just so happen to be the first adult they came to for help and I don't handle blood well at all so all I could do was point towards the kitchen were most of the adults were at. I know...terrible right. I knew though with the amount of blood I was seeing that I was going to end of face first on the hardwood floor. I did go get Rody out of the bedroom so I wasn't completely useless. After getting him cleaned up, the kids were back at it. Towards the middle of the afternoon we decided it was time to shoot some skeet. The boys had a lot of fun and after looking at the ground after they were done they shot A LOT of skeet. Krissi took a few shots as well and even convinced me to shoot once. Krissi has a new 20 gauge and I will tell ya that one shot was enough for me.
After shooting skeet, we were invited to friends of Krissi and Rody's who have a high fenced exotic wildlife preserve. It was incredible! I don't know who had more fun...the kids or the adults. We were all so fasinated! But wait...just when you thought it couldn't be more adventureous...it does. After we got back from their friend's, one of their dogs had been pregnant expecting puppies anyday and what would you know, but she went into labor on the 4th of July. So, we got to end the evening watching puppies be born. Austyn even got to actually see one of her pups be born. The proud mother ended up delivering 13 puppies with only 10 making it. Those 10 are now named by something associated with the celebration of the 4th. Like Freedom, Glory, Trust, Star, Spankle and Banner. We had so much fun with our family. Our girls walked away with some many incredible memories from the 4th of July of 2008.
